Built in the late 80s for intercity use on the East Coast Main Line. 140mph design speed, limited to 125mph due to the lack of in-cab signalling. They're being phased out while the newer Class 800 Azumas take their place, so this will probably be the 225s' last lick of paint in their operational life. Maybe one could live at the National Railway Museum alongside the preserved HST?
