I imagine it's hard to pinch flat with those things. I also imagine they are much heavier and makes your ride much worse than if you were using tubeless.

Most tire inserts on the market today are tubeless specific. They're mostly marketed towards mountain bikers for running lower pressures while protecting the rim and keeping the sidewalls stiffer. Some are even run flat.

its not about pinch flats but preventing tire sidewall flex sideways aka Squirm. Especially noticable in tubeless. Its a good invention for mtb tubeless, but relativly expensive.

THis stuff has been used for ages on enduro and Dakar motorbikes.
The problem is that it deteriorates very fast and its expensive. So its good only for pro and racers.
