I don't think there's any single 'central source' that your or I would have access to, op, as these things usually bubble around private industry conferences, and professional organisations' magazines, before appearing in public view.
Your best bet is probably the same as any other industry-watcher - subscribe to 'industry sources' on Youtube or Twitter or wherever, and catch whatever falls out. For example, now that the Crossrail project is complete and (mostly) open, I've been following the official HS2 youtube channel, and there's been a few interesting tidbits shown about how they're constructing the infrastructure:
>Canterbury Works site becomes HS2's first diesel-free site>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GwWJWcGY_lU>HS2 and Draper Civil Engineering>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Lm48tt_T7k>Assembling HS2's giant bridge-building machine>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RcPwWw71tvI>HS2 celebrates start of construction on UK’s longest railway bridge>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obcHMAHdVyE>HS2 starts work on pioneering ‘Green Tunnel'>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tu0J7PeDNQ>Take a tour inside an HS2 Tunnel Boring Machine>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izLHTYaJrho...nothing too in-depth, obviously, but still interesting. I love how the difficult parts happen off-site, and when parts are brought to site the actual construction is pretty much putting together Lego, only on a vast scale ... I'd love an insight into the logistics of it all.
