I recently visited Italy and I realized that American streets are at least twice as wide as they need to be.
In Italy they have way less highways, streets are tiny, and everyone gets around fine. Goods gets delivered and life goes on without needing an acre of asphalt for every store.
>inb4 you only visited touristey areas
Lol nope, my gf’s Italian and we went to her hometown for 3 nights and her dad took us around on the highways.
There’s just no need for the amount of highways and massive streets we have in America.
