A Boeing 747 passenger cabin had an area of around 480 square meters. The upper limit for crowd planning is five people per square meter. Therefore, if the seats were removed and everyone stood up, 2400 people could fit into a Boeing 747.

Since a 747 normally has a capacity of 416, this layout could fit almost six times as many people, meaning a flight could cost a sixth as much.
