Do we have any Australian train drivers on /n/?

I am considering switching career to train driver and I wanted to know a little more about the realities of the job. I am used to 24/7 shiftwork and public holidays but what is the community like. Are people fuckheads? Is the job good? Do you get flogged? Is it possible to have a stable life?

Any input from rail employees is valuable.
