Why do euros not understand that values affect transportation choices? Americans value personal freedom so we prefer cars. Euros don't care about freedom as much so they prefer public transport, cycling and walking. With a car you can go anywhere you want... Cars are not any worse than public transport, cycling and walking, and public transport, cycling and walking are not any worse than cars, but cars are better for Americans because we value freedom and vice versa.
