It's less so the bike than the crowd you become part of. Never met a fatbiker that wasn't an idiotic knob riding a needlessly large, heavy, capable bike around town just to show off. Basically the brotruckers of the bike world, alongside white trash riding long travel downhill mountain bikes around town.

If going slow, getting bogged down and getting yourself and your bike covered in mud is your idea of fun. Any terrain that's actually fun to ride on a fatbike is probably more fun on a nice full-suspension bike.

Depends, if you want to race around they are pretty shit. But commuting is really comfy. Once you get them up to speed you dont need that much power to keep them going.
