The middle class is stuck in carbrain suburbia.I almost fully agree with you, but my main problem is that (at least in my experience and on the places I've been to, outside of the rural US), poor people rarely commute on bikes, because they never can afford to live anyhwere near their workplace and bike paths are nowhere to be found in the cities outskirts, so they just either take the bus or ride a rust bucket.
But yeah, aside from that anecdote, bang on.
