>>1828986that building pattern would significantly reduce noise compared to linear streets lmao
>>1829147I'm sure you personally made a significant contribution to making that happen. It is beautiful though, where's that at?
>>1829162have you considered that every other task you do in your daily life can be faster if you live in an urban center and work outside of it?
Not to mention that public transit is a passive activity, you can read a book or watch a show.
Why are you in such a hurry to get home? Could it be that you can't conceive of a commute as separate from sitting behind a steering wheel?
>>1829168>I haven’t seen one of these stroads in like 5 years, because I live in the city>I don’t get why you guys are so mad about something that doesn’t affect youobviously we DO experience them because we don't live in your house with you lmao
>A lot of towns will have one of these roads on the outskirts of townthey might be two blocks from the "downtown" but the majority of businesses are on these roads and the downtown isn't good for much more than a casual stroll. Plenty of american urban centers are filled with stroads too. Every street that passes through Salt Lake City is about 6 lanes wide.
>>1831844good post. I was also thinking that the only way the most introverted country in europe could be the happies is either not knowing how good life can be or some weird genetic predisposition of that monstrous race.
>>1829323did you know that the countryside and suburbs are two very different places? I had no shortage of experiences like yours spending my summers in the countryside in eastern europe. During the year i grew up in U.S. suburbs and there was absolutely fuckall places to go or things to do, friends or not.
>>1829404I agree with all of those but i think those reservoirs did have fish in them. I regret not at least trying to fish in them as a kid.
>>1829722>>1829721That's not what a stroad is. road(wide, speed) + street (businesses)
