Hey guys. I'm a general aviation pilot. I just got home from the airport. I had a really strange encounter with some unidentified flying objects tonight.

> approach the airport around 2,500' AGL (above ground level)
> set up to perform a steep spiral down to a power off landing
> cleared to land
> all the sudden, see this glowing green thing that looks like a 3D four-leaf clover/chinese lantern thing off my left wing
> see another one
> see two more
> see a small swarm of them
> start a climbing turn to the right to avoid them (you can see this on the radar track)
> call and report to ATC
> ATC says "are you sure it isn't a reflection?"
> turn around
> i can see them trailing behind the plane in the rear window

WTF did I just see /n/???
