I've seen enough knock off Race Face Chester pedals that were soft bendable in your hand plastic on a metal rod, as in just plastic on metal rod, no bushings or bearings to speak off and probably not even with correct thread pitch for the cranks, to ever think knock offs are anything but a dumb idea.
>>1842371>ThisThe amount of times I've worked on other people's bikes that cheaped out and bought janky knock off components or even bikes only to end up paying x1.5-3 as much fixing/correcting it vs just buying a legitimate component. I've yet to see someone "saving" money going this route and actually having it be true.
