Non-American here. I now understand the seethe over cars on this board.
Before getting my licence, I never cared much about cars and didn't see the advantage over public transport.
Now that I have a licence, I can simply step out of my house and reach my destination in less than half the time it'd take public transport to get there.
Since some of you can't do that, all you can do is be bitter toward those who can. Learn to drive.
