>>1843198I know vibration numbness, and usually I know it's happened because my feet get numb too through the clipless pedals.
>>1843199I generally speaking can diagnose stuff ok, though I do sometimes get to the point where I know something specific is wrong, but I don't know what exactly will fix it.
>>1843238I get numbness on both my road bike and hybrid/commuter/Bikesharing bikes.
When I started riding, I used to get a lot of tiredness and muscle pain in my shoulder blades.
But the problem is, my saddle is pretty far forward (UCI would disqualify me!), I can't really tilt the bars more forward, and my stem has 25mm of spacers underneath it! Only thing I could speculate is down to stem length. I have a 110mm stem on right now, and I suppose maybe I could source an 80mm one...
But in terms of riding in a straight line, that depends on the day. In the last week, every time I've ridden, I've felt like the steering is so squirrelly and like I'm constantly about to lose balance and fall, regardless of tyre width and geometry. Yet last month, I would have been able to hillclimb 8% gradients in a straight line. Only thing is that I don't feel any amount of confidence to ride one handed for a prolonged period. I know my bike handling skills are lackluster, but I haven't really been cycling for very long either, so I guess that comes with time.
