Those miniracks are really fancy decalieurs. They're designed for bar-bags which hang from above for most of their load, and for randoneuring which is not offroad. Nitto quality is very good, but it isn't magic.
Also Nitto is not faux-slave labour like most manufacturing. You're not paying some hipster in the west $100 for his design and then he outsources it to third world slaves, you're paying a skilled worker a reasonable wage in Japan. What exactly is wrong with that?
