how do i give my rigid mountainbike a more 'trialsy' feel?

imo it's short stem and ~720mm risers

that makes them super good at picking through stuff, but it kinda ruins how they ride generally.

620 is the absolute widest I like on classic mtbs, 580/560 is better. You lose a lot of their charm when you go wide. Not sketchy the opposite, kinda boring, and not very comfortable for gravel type riding. But they do get that trailsy handling and they are much better on technical stuff which you'd be better off with a bike with suspension and discs.

Trials bike have long stems, but OP is weird. If he wants to run his xc bike as a trials bike, he has to understand that it will need many dedicated parts and won't work as an xc bike any more

Get a dropper post. That's about all you can reasonably do to the bike.
Mostly it's just up to you to learn skills and git gud.

i just wanna know how i can get better weight shifting and stability n stuff a dedicated trials bike would be pretty useless to be because i like having gears n stuff

Frame geometry is a difficult subject. Don't mess with it until you actually get good and understand what you want. But a shorter stem is recommended for beginners on starter(ordinary mtb) bikes.
Wide tall bars help, just don't get bmx bars, that will make you a clown.
If you get into actual trials, derailleurs and gears will only get in the way and you'll smash them.

well i dont rly know what i want till i start messing with stuff, i looked at bmx bars and decided against them already lol
and yeah i know gears are dumb for real trials but im no trying to do anything crazy i just wanna make technical climbing up obsticals easier if i can

il definetly look into wider bars cos i never thought about that i neglected to look at the bikes from angles besides the side profile

One thing to consider is that there are different types of trials geometry, long stem with forward rotated bars like >>1847002 is specifically intended for hopping on the rear wheel 95% of the time. That takes a fuckton of skill even on a dedicated trials bike, so it's unlikely you'll be doing that as a beginner (presumably) on an XC bike, in your case you'll probably want a more conventional geometry. Trials bikes also have different hubs and much stronger rear brakes

il be honest the only reason i havnt shown my bike is cos u guys will just keep telling me to buy a new bike which seems to be this boards solution to everything nowadays
im poor and its an old pos but i like it
i just wana do some small upgrades or at least find out what i should be looking for in a new bike
i dont wanna fucin buy a trials bike tho i need a mountain bike still
the top tube is already quite low on the bike so the seat is well out of the way
just wondering if theres anything i could do like swapping the bars or fork or something to improve it
theres alot of cheap old bikes and bike parts where i live so thats what im working with

i dont have a workig camera on my phone but it looks kinda like this but without the big seat or bars
the brakes are cantilevers wich i like
and im in the process of converting it from a 3x5 to a "wide range" 1x7
the bars on mine are very straight and feel kinda low tho

We're just encouraging you to be slightly more discerning with what you use and spend your time on. It doesn't mean you can't be a dumpster diving poorfag.

The majority of cheap old bikes and bike parts are not worth it. In amongst that, there is good stuff, which is still not really worth any money or desirable to true classic bike autists, but is actually relatively good. Like exage. Or basic cromo frames.

Dude, stop asking about upgrading your bike when you'r obviously going to ignora and reject any and all reasonable advice anyone could give you.
