I did everything as the manual stated. LBS guy said I lost a washer that was suppoesd to sit between the pedal and the crank, but I didn't find any on the box.

So even older parts are becoming hard to find, and bike shops here most of the time just care for MTBs, roadies usually just get expensive shit. So, I found a pretty cheapo crank that is compatible (square taper, same tooth count).
I wanna keep 53/39, I don't really care about compact cranks and whatnot, but I want to keep the clipless pedals, but now I'm a tad afraid of it stripping another crank. Pic related is the pedal, a shimano clone. I asked about it a few threads ago, turns out it didn't break. The right pedal didn't eat up the crank, hence my confusion.
