Viaducts are basically bridges, the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge in Louisiana is one of the longest "bridges" in the world, it's all elevated and built on concrete piers but it's still a viaduct.

It did not stop being civilian infrastructure. It wasn't even used as the main army transportation route.
No matter how you look at it, nothing justifies bombing civilians and infrastructure in LPR, DPR, Krimea and the Southern regions of Russia. Let's not forget attempts to bomb nuclear plants by the Ukrainians.
And let's not forget Ukrainian ISIS-style executions that happened recently.
So many war crimes the West refuses to admit, just like in all the middle eastern conflicts.
The west is ridiculously hypocritical and immoral, as it has always been. The world will be happy to see your economies inevitably fail and your civilization fall into chaos.

This discussion was had after WWII and whether the allied terror bombing of Germany. The consensus is that it is up to combatants to make sure that there is not going to be collateral in the case of an attack. Using civilians as shields against an attack _is a war crime_.

The obvious use of civilians as shields are Ukrainians stationing artilery in civilian blocks, which is definitely a war crime. You are out of touch with reality

You aren't very smart, are you? The bridge was used for transfer of military materiel. Thus it was a target. Considering that Russian logistics is very skewed towards railroads and every rail line along the coast of Sea of Azov is pretty much within the range of Himars missles... the bridge was the safest route to get stuff to Crimea, and later, Kherson oblast. It was built _for that purpose_.

In that light - allowing civilian traffic on the Kerch bridge was _at best_ foolish, and typical flippant and expandable treatment of people in Russia. At worst, it was just using them as shields. The bridge was an obvious target.
