I always thought that water parks should do this. Make your lazy river wind through the park so you can use it to go from the water slide to the tidepool or whatever.

I think Schlitterbahn does that, though it's not strictly a lazy river all the way around. Waco Surf's is half a mile around in circumference though the waterpark isn't very well-developed.

I always thought they should have long straight slides where the stairs are on one side of the park and the end is on the other side. You could cross the park on a slide.

Big Kahuna in Destin does this, though it's probably just a side effect of haphazard park expansion. You have to go through the river to get to the wave pool, most of the slides dump you into the river, and you can float around to other slides.
