I've seen the future, and we're not going to end up living "in pods" of course. However massive investment firms are gobbling up single family housing by the truckload because they know single family housing can only exist in scarcity. If nothing changes then the future will be dominated by renting houses under corporate landlords, and you'll have your rents raised on you every year until literally you'll own nothing.

Land is limited, fuckhead companies and individuals like Schwab know this. Low density housing = scarcity and they can use that to own everything. He's literally the antithesis to urbanism.

They buy them at single family prices, then lobby the government to relax zoning laws to allow multi-unit dwellings (with people on here conveniently shilling for them), pushing up the property value and the amount of revenue streams making them an ass load of money by turning the neighborhood into their cash farm from renters.
