Never understood why bike wheels don't go huge.

iirc just make sure not to accelerate or brake too hard, also steering is via differential braking, so harsh turns are probably also to be avoided.

i think it would be too expensive to do with steel spokes and wheelbuilders might not like them. but with carbon spokes becoming more common it might be feasible. spokes are also underdeveloped in terms of aero, they've just been squishing them to a flatter profile.

Bigger wheels are heavier and weaker (or heavier still). A larger bicycle is less convenient to store or transport and fewer people will fit a bicycle with larger wheels without compromising their fit.
