i can pull my bike out and be anywhere at anything within minutes. bonus points for my apt being right next to the freeway onramp/offramp. i can be in the city in minutes, i can jump ahead of all the commuters funneling in.
living in the sububrbs, your locked out of the city during commute hours unless you wanna give up an extra 45 minutes of your day. only things near by you are a few friends and shopping stores. and all that takes a 15minute drive and a gallon of gas. going to the city or shit like pick n pull takes way longer.
rural was the worst. to do anything or go anywhere you literally had to plan a day trip and $30 worth of gas. my social life plummeted.
