Maybe we need some highway-legal forklifts capable of towing trailers like this. Seen plenty of trailers that need to integrate a small crane or even carry its own forklift. Make the towing vehicle a forklift instead.
"But too light for the traction to tow a load!" Electric vehicle, so the batteries required to tow something large will be a significant portion of the vehicle mass. No need to build some dumb-ass flat bed and giant frame just for dead weight.
And since it's a forklift, it benefits from being smaller than the average vehicle, so it can maneuver and zero-point turn in a typical driveway (though possibly with the forks folded up, as they would be for road travel).
Also need better sight lines than a truck for forklift, which translates to increased driver visibility and safety on our roads. Gosh we just keep on winning with this idea!
