Why do 80s airliners have so much better cockpits than today's planes? The mix of digital and analog instruments was peak soul and that's been completely ruined with modern glass cockpits moving everything to shitty lcd's. Not only are they uglier but they're also harder to read because they just put a text dump of a million different things on one page in tiny text with no regard for what the pilot actually needs to see. It's as if these modern instruments were designed to be used on a computer monitor at a desk with a mouse and keyboard, by people who have never even flown a plane.
