I watched that how far can you get by public transport buses from Charing Cross in 24 hours. he managed to get 260 miles to Lancaster. so imagine doing this and it just costs a coin with the face of king charles on it and changing the bus 20 times or so.

Public transportation across the globe is not economically viable and therefore must be heavily subsidized or is unusable garbage.
Roads on the other hand are essential infrastructure for not only private commuters but also companies and everyday good and therefore are essential.
