Little known fact: all legacy carriers are the exact same airline, just different paint jobs. This was a condition of the Ronald Reagan accords in which PATCO, the UAW, Delta, Greyhound, Pan Am, Amtrak, and what was at the time Eastern Airlines agreed to a union seniority reciprocity agreement so that all the employees could nonrev on the other carriers in the event of a takeover. Eventually they realized it would make more sense just to consolidate everything but maintain the pretense of being "different companies" so the public couldn't catch on. So actually when they stick you on a bus for the cancelled shuttle from LGA to DCA it technically counts as an airplane.
Every time you hear someone go "I'm boycotting XXXX airline" you should laugh at them on the inside while on the outside you go "yeah! I heard they won't even give you a seat that you paid for!" (this is luv2travel for 'I was too cheap for a full fare so I got the $99 ticket and then got indignant that it didn't come with all the amenities of the $399 fare)
