Is it really that bad in England, or so called civilized countries in general? It seems much worse than in Poland where I live, and my country is famous for its thieves. It took me like five years of leaving my bike in the same places locked with a shitty cable lock (I was too lazy to get a better one) to finally get it stolen, and it was a slightly more decent bike. Still, based as fuck, society needs more people like you.

The same bike will probably be stolen within 4 hours in Warsaw as it is in London. I think crime happens more often in capital cities because it is overpopulated.

I live in Wrocław, which is actually 3x bigger than Portsmouth (4x if you include Ukrainians who moved here recently), where OP took his video. Bike theft is a problem here too, but I see a lot of bikes locked with easy to cut cable locks, sometimes they're left in one place for months until someone takes them. And if it took 4 hours in relatively small Portsmouth, I'd be scared to leave my bike even for a moment in a big city like London.

Mate, if you look away from your bike for more than 10 seconds in London it WILL be taken. In fact forget the lock they will often just threaten you with a knife and take it directly from you. Oh the joys of diversity

Apple Tag is not a real GSM tracker but it’s pretty good for what it is. I’ve got one jammed under my saddle. They get a ping every time someone with an iPhone walks by, pretty often anywhere there’s people. If you already use Pinhead locks (and you should) they just came out with pic related. Not concealed, actually kinda bulky, made of plastic and will not stand up to a hacksaw, but a reasonable solution. I’ll probably get one when my ratty old saddle falls apart.
