Happens when you go on a nation-wide post-war full-retard consoom frenzy mid-century and bulldoze trough your nation with freeways on federal budget only to leave local government with the maintenance bill they can't afford.

If you only build public transit as if it was THE last resort instead of aiming for it to be useful then only desperate people will use it.

One of the reason I and several people I know own trucks. If you hit shit, it's much less likely to damage anything.

Buses are a joke. They are full of melenin enriched problems. It's a shame that almost every city ripped out their trolley systems for buses. GM sure fucked up a lot of things.

Anything to do with air travel is a nightmare to change. I fly as a bush pilot and the regulations I deal with are fine. However when you have a few hundred people onboard, the FAA is way more up uptight about making sure any changes are extremely well tested before they make it to the public. It's not a bad thing, just these things take a lot of time.

It was maybe 50 years ago, we've been going downhill since.

...that's not how it happened. Amazing how STILL believe "GM bought streetcar lines just to convert them to bus" despite being disproven.

There's a lot of "documentaries" out there that are complete hogwash. Most of what was said was allegations made in the 1970s by Bradford Snell, a lawyer, making demonstrably false claims. You can read Wikipedia to understand what was actually going on.
