I don't know about Europe, but in North America public transit is in a death spiral that will last as long as the forseeable future. Whatever gains were made or what plans there were are irrelevant now. early 2020 was peak numtot, and it will all fade slowly. Not Just Bikes' channel, that old queen will stay be around milking redditors with regugitated Strong Towns talking points, but it will be as irrelevant as other online scenes became over time. Respectable people are leaving the cities, the ones that remain are avoiding transit more, and as a result, government is investing even less into these things allowing them to deteriorate.
This is happening where I live in Toronto. There have been high profile crimes that have taken place on transit and the city is incapable of actually doing anything to make people safer because any reversal in policy would violate their sacred beliefs of the libtards in the system so less people are using transit. As a result, there are now service cuts reducing frequency of service which makes using transit even more inconvenient and less appealing just exacerbating the problem.
