these things are unsafe and inefficient by design

just because drone quadcopters do ok within their niche doesn't mean it can be scaled up that easily
it took literal decades for electric cars to become somewhat viable after remote controlled cars with brushless electric motors took over
i haven't been following the scene but at least for this type of racing they're still using combustion engines
