Would a hydraulic banking train like the pedolino work in the US as a sort-of high speed passenger railway?
I know that would either require making a diesel powered version, or actually electrifying a significant portion of US railways, but when compared to the costs of building new high speed rails from scratch, electrifying existing railways would be much cheaper, and would benefit the freight train industry as well.
