>>1892730>Problem is it isn't really based in reality because all of the major American cities in the north and northeast weren't "building suburbs"Let met get this straight:
The problems of the car-dependent suburbs that you can clearly see today such as the massive cost on an individual and collective on many fronts ISN'T based on reality because the car dependent suburbs which were created by massive influence by massive car companies as seen by:
1) The Federal Highway Act which in todays money would cost us 550 BILLION dollar
2) Create zoning laws that make it ILLEGAL to build anything but single family housing
3) Development of the roads being used to segregate non-whites
4) And also the car companies playing apart in the deconstruction of public transportation, (pushing more and more people into using the car) -- a famous example being the General Motors Street Car Conspiracy.
(There's more reasons, but you get the point)
all of this is "incorrect" because they cities weren't
>"building suburbs"even though suburbs have been a thing for centuries and were build throughout American history and you can clearly see the difference in suburb design before and after ww2 -- (with a classic example being Paterson New Jersey).
>They were hemmed in by their same borders they had beforeBecause having the same borders means that suburb design actually always stays the same guys!!!!!!!
