Pros:

Cons:

With a car I get to my uni in about 75 minutes
With a yacht I need to first drive to a yacht club, then take the yacht to the Kiel Canal, go the entire length of the Kiel Canal and then find a spot to park my yacht and STILL take public transport because i can't take my car on the yacht

rich white guy with a big yacht does not get treated like a criminal, very much the opposite
during covid times, we showed vaxx cards sometimes but most times were simply waved through with a pleasant smile as is the custom when the marina arranges things properly

I live 15 minutes drive from Lake Saint Clair. I usually launch my boat at Metro Beach, or Selfridge Air National Guard. Nothing fancy, 17’ fishing boat with a 90HP outboard. I can make it to Lake Erie in Monroe in about a hour and fifteen minutes if the water is decent. Coming back up river, it’s a 2 hour trip.
