>>1887057its actually very easy
1. look which part is broken
2. find the part online and look how measurements are written
3. measure the part
4. buy the part that fits and install it
here's a protip, spend a lot on drive chains, if you have a loose crank dont change the crank only but change crank bearing aswell so both parts fit eachother nicely and dont wear out prematurely, even bike store places wont tell you this advice because they are too stupid to consider it, there is no reason to spend a lot on brakes unless you do mountain biking or just generally throwing it around and abusing it, cheap v-brakes last as long as expensive ones from my experience. my recommendation of parts is always shimano because they have so many parts they just throw them at you for 10 to 50 bucks, not necessarily up to durability of mountain bike parts but close enough. i made a very cool mauntain bike on ns bikes clash frame a few years ago and recently i had to change the crank and the bearing assembly so i just got a shimano zee with a longer crank length for 100 bucks and its fine for my frankestein bike i just upgrade if i need something in it because i know every part i fixed or mounted on. just tell me which part and i can tell you what to measure and how
