The RideWithGPS web route planner is my favorite. I haven't used their phone app, but it might be worth a try.

What's the best app to track your daily movements? I just use Google maps but it's not great. I don't what to drain a lot of battery life with it

I discovered recently if I use bing maps that every 100 miles I travel on it, that Bing will make a donation to a charity of my choice so I use Bing maps for that

am in russia
yandex maps are better than google maps at just about everything, the sole exception is street view outside of russia and neighboring countries
also their search and translator are better, if you want to translate hentai to english try using yandex's ocr

yandex is also one of the few big players in russia that try to skirt around all this shit. say, they were blasted by gov't rats for not showing enough coverage of the special operation (e.g. didn't have the entire landing page be war stories) and eventually just said "fuck it" and spun news off into their own thing and got rid of it.

I like the look, feel, and sound of Apple Maps the most, and I use it most often.

I really like the fuel efficient routing option in Google Maps though, and wish Apple had that feature. it's especially useful now that they have different options for fuel type (Gas, hybrid, electric)

reminds me of when years ago I was travelin round europe and my phone broke. I was quick to learn how useful paper tourist maps are, and how easy it is to orient yourself from major landmarks

Talking bout europe: komoot (server based) mapy.cz ( phone based), ridewithgps has nice waypoint routing for long distance plotting. Google maps for highly cycled urban environments.
Osmand (obiously the fdroid version) may be good for looking at maps and poi or in plotting a route even a couple of km but it is slow as fuck on greater distance ( im sorry i dont have a 1000€ phone) and is not very responsive on waypoints
