>>1887497StVZO merely means it complies with german regulations for road worthiness. Particularly asymmetric lighting profile, where the light 'cone' tapers down to the left as to allow for good illumination of your lane while avoiding blinding oncoming traffic even at breakovers. Not blinding oncoming traffic is a matter of correct setup, with any lighting cone, be it symmetric or not.
I just want decent light for the road. I do set my light up correctly of course, people who fail to adjust and use their lights incorrectly, wether cagies or bikers, annoy me alot after all. Also I dont see the point in trying to illuminate the horizon.
Now the light has several settings. If you turn it up all the way the road infront of you will be decently illuminated. But the battery will be flat, from a full charge in no time. Yet the light will not reach to the sides, like at all, which means if you want to take a turn without going in blind youll have to sway on the approach to get a chance to look.
If you turn it down the battery last longer but still not all night, the road, as in your lane, ahead is still illuminated plenty and you can see no more or less to the sides than on the highest setting.
Quality seems decent. They ship a gopro style mount, the screw included was too short to engage the thread. Thats not a good sign. I bought one that works.
Btw I bought this light specifically for the rare ability to be mounted to your stem with factory supplied parts because of the aero bar compatibility.
