Well yes.
But factories are different. Some are honest, some are less honest.
My scooter, for example, is made at factory where ~40 people work, and their QC dude thought that shipping scooter with steering 30 degrees out of sync is ok lol. I mean, what did I expect from 40 dudes in a giant warehouse with couple CNC machines and idk.
Ninebot makes millions of scooters, so their factory is a bit more like car factory.

Other thing to remember is that e-scooters are illegal in Shenzhen area. At least I've read it somewhere.

But yeah, some resellers want too much. But I'd not be so sure about "same product". E-scooters are like lego, one parts gets replaced with other, and they might use china cell instead of LG cell in the battery for example. Nothing bad in china cell, but you know, LG has higher standards of manufacturing

Yes goy, buy the xiaomi knockoffs that have been widely known to snap in half at the 45 degree connecting tube causing people to break their jaws, nose, collarbones, and lose teeth. Milling out a part of the scooter for a charge port which is already under the highest amount of stress possible is also stupid considering how thin / weak those tubes are known to be on the knockoffs.

OP's doesn't really because it's bargain shit. a $1500~ escoot will go 50-70km/h with a range of 50~ kms and be the ultimate transportation machine for it's price (that can also go on bike paths and sidewalks if needed)

A better brand will give you better support online. I actually kind of regret not getting the Xaomi m365 because the aftermarket and support for that community is huge. That firmware can be easily hacked, unlike mine.

For a first time is scooter. I would recommend solid tires. My swag Tron has them, and I’m grateful I never have to worry about getting a flat. Apparently the performance is not as good..

How fast do you want to go?

Scooters are good if you live in an apartment or your location isn't ideal for you to leave outside. I live in AZ and during the summer being able to fold and walk my scooter into work to charge again was really nice. Bikes are superior though if you get something like >>1892381

It's a huge pain in the ass to fix flats on these. You probably won't be able to do it yourself. Bike shops will charge you four times their normal flat labor.

You'll be replacing those pneumatic tires with solid ones within a few months and probably paying over $100 for parts and labor, so factor that in to the cost of the scooter.

For most models, you can't even take the front wheel all the way off of the scooter. The wire connecting the driven front wheel to the battery doesn't have a plug that allows you to disconnect it, like you'd normally find on a hub motor e-bike. They put a pneumatic tire on a wheel that's not designed to be removed by the user. You probably aren't going to be able to get most parts from the manufacturer when you need them. These scooters are not meant to be serviceable. They're meant to be disposable.

You can keep a bike going yourself with a few basic tools and skills.

This 100x this, the tires on these scooters are no the same ones you have on e-scooters you see from the streets. These require the replacement of solid wheels if you want to use them long term. A bike is at least generally workable by a bike shop if you need it, but you can work on it from home.
