>>1890012I don't know. Commieblocks are just inhumane.
>RussiaIt was shit. They are just inhumane.
Older commie-blocks were copycat German or Italian designs. 4-5 floors. Was already quite inhumane, as you just start hating neighbors because you live so close to them. Infrastructure? Overloaded trolleybus (in the 1980s), then overloaded subway (because it was extended)... And keep in mind that in Moscow subway is probably one of the fastest in the world when it comes to frequency.
Cars? Lol roads were overloaded, and new mayor is a fucktard made everything so much worse.
Bicycle? Lol, there is no bike infrastructure. Roads are too fast/narrow for riding on them. Sidewalks are full of people. Rain and shit.
Oh, travel distance? Often 60-40 km a day, because office is in the center of the shithole, and you can only afford a flat in the outskirts, or even worse, your job is on the other side of the asshole. 60-80 km per day is comparable to american commute (40 miles, which is 65 km).
So yeah, not so great.
New buildings are 20 stories china design buildings, which are even worse.
>SwedenI didn't live in Sweden, but my m8 lives there. His commieblock is from 1930s, 2 or 3 stories high (don't remember). He is renting it.
So what is the problem? I don't know his specifics. First of all, his all neighbors were either schizophrenic or alcoholic or junkies. Low income area, so to be expected.
What is other problem? Building has no fucking insulation. Just bricks and that is it. Roof structure has no insulation what so ever. And here we come to main problem of commieblocks. They are not eco-friendly for shit. If it was a privately owned house, you would insulate it, at least put insulation in the attic.
