Why is America's passenger rail coverage so inadequate? There are already tracks everywhere. Why is so little used for passenger rail? Nobody uses rail because the poor coverrage makes using it inconvenent. For example, take a trip to Omaha from Kansas City? Takes all day. If there was a train from KC to Omaha directly, it would take 3-4 hours. More people would use it. The rails are already there.
