trams in samarkand are pretty stanky, but the intercity trains in uzbek are pretty clean and comfy - felt more like an aeroplane

morocco was surprisingly clean on both the city trams and the intercity trains

the "first world" country with the worst condition public transport by far (that I've seen) is the USA - I've been on the BART, Subways in New York, Philly, DC, and Baltimore, and light rails in Houston and Minneapolis. All weirdly disgusting and full of hobos

Another stanky firsty transit would be the overheated lines in london, reeks of sweat on hot days

My home country (scotland) has pretty clean and comfy trains/trams/subways by comparison
