i just wasted my money the cable pull ratio isnt even close, it goes through 9 gears in 5 clicks
is there so kind of adapter i can use?

Just read, take a ruler, mark the cable and measure the cable pull of the twist grip. I couldn't find it written anywhere sadly.

i looked there and everywhere else theres no mention of mixing sram shifters and shimano derailleurs
its just about derailleurs and cassettes

Same, It stumped me. But desu using grip shifters in the year of our lord the current maybe it's for the best.

I had two acquaintances buy used bikes who's retarded previous owners 'upgraded' their rear derailleur without switching the shifter or casette. I managed to get it working by adjusting how the cable is fastened to the derailleur bolt, as shown in the link.

i will never use button shifters you cant make me!
they dont work with a rapid rise anyway
also i found a sram shifter thats listed as shimano compatible so i guess im an idiot and shouldve bought that instead of this vintage thing

That thing's like 25 years old and uses a weird experimental standard that they tried and quickly dropped. A shimano shifter probably costs half than whatever you paid for that antique on ebay but if you must be a special snowflake who's too good for shimano at least buy something made in the current century.

So someone told you sram and shimano were compatible and you thought that meant your 15 year old meme derailleur with a gimmick experimental standard would be compatible with a 25 year old shifter with a completely different gimmick experimental standard?

I use SRAM X7 3x9 shifters with a rd-m510 rear derailleur and a fd-m3000 front derailleur, they work perfectly. I don't know about grip shifters though.
