Regardless of your autistic fixation on trains, long-distance rail transit has been made objectively obsolete by air travel.
Planes are faster, cheaper, and require less infrastructure. Planes are safer and less likely to be involved in crashes or accidents per passenger-mile of travel. Planes still have plenty of room left for innovation, whereas trains have pretty much peaked with maglev HST (still much slower than a typical passenger jet). And most importantly, planes are just cooler.
The only actual argument in favor of trains is lower emissions, which will become irrelevant within the next few decades as electric jet turbine engines are perfected and put into use.
