Point being they should make thins actually work or make something new, not try to shoehorn some shit into something that can't handle it then use tricks to hide it's inepitude, as before.
That said, the 737 probably does need a bit more of a refresh to fit modern engines. But done properly.
Besides, the 787 has also been quite the shit-show so far, despite it's amazing potential.
