>>1902163In my experience it's highly dependent on how low tyre pressure you're running. I've ruined tyres in one or two seasons, running them at too low pressure. In those cases it's been the sidewalls and carcass that's ripped.
I've learned my lesson and invested in a high-volume frame pump. Run them at ~9 psi on the road to an from the trails, and run them ridiculously low ~2 psi on the trail, depending on trail condition.
