Kitchener, Ontario is the smallest city on the American continent to have a proper light rail system (end-to-end length 19 km) of its own.

It's almost two hour drive to Downtown Toronto from Kitchener. 90 minutes if you're driving in the middle of the night with zero traffic.

It's growing pretty fast. Population grew 10% in 5 years. Seems like people have their reasons. Meanwhile small West Coast cities have to deal with population decline.

When you get older, you realize that people have bland tastes. Met a few friends who immigrated from the U.S & B.C who call the place home. All say it's better than where they lived. I think that should illustrate how bland our continent is.
