>>1906074I'll be the flight instructor throwing anon advice like I'm sure you get a lot.
Here is how I help my students struggle with flaring too early:
Have your instructor do more slow flight (especially 5 degree turns with crosswinds) until you really understand/modulate the mushy, sloppy and the degrees nose up you get accustom to the the floaty feeling just above stall speed.
After you get more accustom, try getting your instructor to take you up in an aircraft when it's less than half fuel capacity just to do circuit work. The difference in weight is where a lot of my students actually get a lot more established with aircraft controls.
And finally, in the circuit, have your instructor land normally but have your hand underneath his as you look completely with all your attention at the attitude indicator. Do that for a lap or two. Then, do a couple more laps with your instructor still landing with your eyes on the nose completely.
Also, for what it's worth, if you are a caffeine enjoyer, don't have any in the day until after you do your walk around.
The timing of a jolt of caffeine at the right time really improves focus in a lot of my students, especially the younger ones.
Just going to the airport knowing that you are going to be training your nervous system. Your ears, eyes and body sensations need to become accustom to all phases of flight, it's okay and it's 1-2% of total flight time but it's the important part.
Stay cool friend, you got this.
Don't fucking quit.
