Long answer:
They are more expensive than their aluminium counterparts. But Aluminium gives way less freedom of construction to the manufacturer, so you get bikes that try to look like carbon but are way more heavy and have worse response since they cant mimic the various thickness variation a carbon frame can support.
Check also this, all alu road bike have carbon forks. This is because its a way lighter material and has a better shock absorption capacity.
