the truth is these firms were designed to take advantage of low interest rates and the borderline recklessness of investors during the tech craze of the early/mid 2010's, not to actually do anything. develop concept->grow users->cash the fuck out. they knew from the very start that the cost of software development and project managers makes them non-competitive with cabs.
