for comparison $30 can get you a train simulator dlc containing half the keihin-tohoku line, plus the sections of the utsunomiya and shonan-shinjuku lines that run alongside it, all with 19 scenarios covering every type of service to run on the lines in both directions in a variety of time and weather conditions, plus access to the editor to make your own scenarios
a proper 3d environment just offers so much more freedom than fmv
