Moving to St. Paul MN and gave my borrowed gas pipe shitter back to my dad because I figured a 40+ yo 10 speed touring would not last on MN roads.
I have no idea what the wider road situation looks like, but from what I've seen in bloomington, the roads have seen their fair share of snow plow abuse and ice expansion.
Any MN anons able to recommend a style of bike and maybe a brand? Thinking mountain, but I hear those are targeted by thieves most often and if roads are nicer than expected, might go for a hybrid.
